How do I write thank you notes to wedding guests whose cards were lost? My husband and I got married this past weekend, and somehow in the shuffle several cards from guests were lost. Some guest may have not given cards but we do know that there are definitly 3 or 4 missing because they told us that they had placed them on the table instead of in the card box and we never recieved them. I dont want them to know that they were lost, obviously if they wrote a check and it never gets cashed we will have to explain. I have called the reception hall to have them look but nothing turned up. How do I write them a thank you note when I am not sure what to thank them for? Especially those guest who may not have given a gift (since wedding gifts are not really required just shower gifts ), I dont want my thank you notes to seem fake, or to not make sense, Any ideas? you should definitely let the guests know that tickets went to the reception hall lost for several reasons.
